About the shelf, the woman, the clay

Hi, I'm Karolina.

I've been throwing pots since 2014 — first as a hobby on an evening course in Gothenburg, then as something I did every Sunday, and now as a small chapter of its own at Stenbacken. The workshop is in a shed behind the white cottage. That's where you'll find me when I'm not helping Magnus with the guests.

I work slowly. A good month is four or five finished pieces; a bad month, two. Clay from Höganäs, glazes mixed here, everything fired in a small electric kiln to 1240 °C. No machines and no assistants.

This isn't a shop. Things get sold when someone asks, or end up on a market table for a weekend. Write if something catches your eye — I'll reply when my hands aren't covered in clay.

Where to find me

Markets and window shelves.

Beyond Stenbacken, my pieces sometimes show up at these spots. Write if you'd like me to bring something specific.

The workshop

It's a little red shed behind the white cottage. It smells of wet clay and coffee, and the kiln hums when it's firing.
